The Principality Stadium sits a few minutes' walk from Cardiff Central, so on international rugby days and stadium concert nights the whole city centre fills. Hospitality suites inside the stadium, and the hotels, bars and restaurants around St Mary Street and Westgate Street, all need more people than usual. Football at Cardiff City Stadium, rugby at the Arms Park and cricket at Sophia Gardens add matchdays through the rest of the year, and the city-centre arena brings touring shows.
Down in Cardiff Bay, the Wales Millennium Centre, waterfront hotels and venues around Mermaid Quay host receptions, conferences and weddings. Just off the M4 near Newport, ICC Wales at the Celtic Manor runs conferences and exhibitions over several days. From November the Christmas market and the Winter Wonderland by City Hall take over the centre, and on 27 December Chepstow runs the Welsh Grand National. Salt Social People is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, around five and a half to six hours from Cardiff by train. We are recruiting a South Wales team the same way we recruit at home: interview, two references, a paid trial shift. That team is small today, so we would rather be straight with you: most Cardiff bookings are likely to include people from our travelling core team, with travel and hotel shown at cost on their own lines, alongside any Cardiff-based people we have taken on. At booking we tell you within two hours what we can fill locally, who is travelling and what it adds to the quote. Multi-day work, like a conference at ICC Wales or a Six Nations weekend, suits that model best. Newport, Penarth, Barry and Caerphilly are quoted on the same card.
Cardiff and South Wales are charged at the national rate. There is no regional uplift. Where people travel from Newcastle, rail travel, accommodation at cost and meals at £20 per person per day are shown as separate lines, so you can see exactly what travel adds.

No. The national rate card applies: Core £25.00, Skilled £28.00, Lead £34.00, senior chef £40.00 per hour ex VAT. Travel and accommodation for people coming from Newcastle are shown at cost on their own lines.
Yes. The Licensing Act 2003 covers England and Wales, so our bar staff work under your premises licence exactly as they would in England. If you need a personal licence holder on the team, tell us at booking and we confirm whether we can include one.
Yes, if you ask early. Match weekends are among the hardest dates to fill in the city. We confirm names within two hours and tell you honestly if we cannot fill a position.
Yes. A conference run is where a travelling team works best: the same people every day, briefed once on the programme and the stand. Accommodation is booked by us and shown at cost, with meals at £20 per person per day.
Usually, yes. A match weekend, a conference or a run of Christmas dates lets us spread the travel cost over several shifts. For a single short shift, we will tell you honestly if travel makes it poor value.
No. Door supervision and security need an SIA licence and we refer that to a licensed partner. We do supply stewards, admissions and event crew.
