York has a population of around two hundred thousand and a visitor calendar that would stretch a city three times the size. The racecourse on the Knavesmire runs meetings from spring to autumn, with the big August festival drawing some of the largest crowds of the flat season. On those days every hospitality box, restaurant and bar in the grandstands needs people who can work at pace in a crowd.
Inside the walls, hotels and historic venues host conferences, college dinners and weddings through the year. The two universities bring graduation weeks and open days. In February the Viking festival fills the streets, and from mid-November the St Nicholas Fair turns the centre into a Christmas market. Beyond the city, barns and country houses across North Yorkshire and the Wolds book full floor teams for weddings and private parties.
York sits on the main line about an hour south of Newcastle, which makes it one of the easiest places for our travelling core team to reach. We are also recruiting people who live in and around the city. At booking we confirm within two hours who is coming and where they are travelling from. Anyone travelling more than 15 miles is shown with travel at cost on its own line, agreed before you book. Race days sell out early, so we ask for the brief as soon as you have it.

No. Door supervision needs an SIA licence and we refer that to a licensed partner. We do supply stewards, admissions and event crew.
