In Liverpool the bar decides the night. Office parties and client events tend to start with a welcome cocktail, move to a buffet or a sharing menu, and finish on the dance floor, so the bar team works hardest at the beginning and the end. Function rooms around the Albert Dock and Pier Head, warehouse spaces in the Baltic Triangle and hotels in the business district carry most of the bookings.
December weekends also clash with football. Two Premier League clubs play through the festive period, and on home match days the city centre and the roads towards Anfield and the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock are much busier. We check the fixture list against your date and plan arrival times around it.
Salt Social People is based in Newcastle. We recruit a North West team alongside our Manchester people, on the same terms. At booking we tell you within two hours how many people we can fill locally. Where a party is bigger than our Merseyside bench, we fill the gap with travelling team, travel at cost, or tell you the number we can deliver.
Merseyrail does not run all night, and a lot of hospitality people in the city live on the Wirral or out towards Southport and St Helens. For late finishes we write the finish time and route home into the brief, and check it with each person before they accept. If a finish is after the last train, we plan a lift or taxi at cost and show it on the quote.
On match days and on busy Fridays, allow extra time for arrivals. We build it into the call time rather than letting the team arrive late.

Two cocktail bartenders make the welcome drink quickly and properly, then move to the main bar with two Core bartenders for the rest of the night. Three floor staff run the buffet and keep the room clear. Festive rates: Core £28.00, Skilled £31.00, Lead £37.00. If the night comes in under the quoted total, we refund 5%. New clients also get one person for one four-hour shift free on their first booking.

Yes. Cocktail bartenders are on our Skilled tier. We brief the menu, the batching and the glassware in writing 48 hours before, and again on the day.
Yes. We check your date against home fixtures and set arrival times so the team is in place before the roads fill.
Yes, on the same card. Travel is charged at cost only beyond 15 miles of the worker's base, shown on its own line.
